Lady Gaga, future 2013 MTV VMA performer and Piercer of Septums, has returned to Twitter tonight.
In a single tweet, the “So Happy I Could Die” songstress has entirely satiated her collective Monsters’ Gaga-deprived souls: “1ST SINGLE FROM ARTPOP COMES AUG.19 #24DAYS.”
And then, she included the photo above.
Seated upon a futuristic throne made out of smashed bits of motherboards and microchips and wearing a multi-monocle thingamajigger that looks like it’s probably po-po-poking her face in every place, Mother Monster reigns regally in the buff, all while building her upcoming ARTPOP app and seeking some hot CPU NSA nerd4nerd fun.
Why’s she so nakey all the time? Because she was born that way.
Should we be excited? We should probably be excited, yes.
But between this and the first promotional photo, what is ARTPOP, really?
Well, that’s easy: ARTPOP simply is. Do not question it. Do not judge it. Do not belittle it. Do not forget it. Eat it. Lick it. Snort it. Fuck it. It is art that is pop. It is pop that is art. It is you. It is me. It is we. It is the future. It is the past. It is the now. It is the never. It is the artist, the canvas, the easel and the floor. It is here, it is there, it is everywhere.
