Today, we bow our heads beauty queen style and kneel at the Altar of Saint Lana Del Rey, to whom we offer our sacrificial cans of Diet Mtn Dew and Pepsi Cola whilst praying for forgiveness for our general unworthiness and inability to afford Bugatti Veyrons.
Over the past few weeks, the stunning Born To Die songstress has been slowly teasing her upcoming mini-film Tropico teaser by teaser, giving us otherworldly glimpses of Lana’s own Garden of Eden alongside Elvis, Jesus, Marilyn and John Wayne.
But that’s nothing compared to the full one-minute trailer, which was just released to VEVO today.
I won’t spoil anything — mostly because I have no idea what’s going on, aside from glimpses of Lana canoodling with her male model on-screen BF Shaun Ross, some “Criminal”-like gun-toting action and a brief pole twirl I Know Who Killed Me-style by Lana Del Stripper (!) — but luckily, there’s some official blurb from VEVO to help us start to digest the visual divinity:
Tropico is an epic tale based on the biblical story of sin and redemption and features Del Rey starring as Eve. The three-part story begins in the Garden of Eden and travels through time to modern-day Los Angeles. Del Rey’s visual sensibility is rich and fantastical, and the movie’s running themes stay true to the concepts of Born to Die and Born To Die – The Paradise Edition: the loss of innocence, good vs. evil, and trading beauty for money. The film puts closure on the two recordings, and features three songs from The Paradise Edition: “Body Electric,” “Gods and Monsters,” and “Bel Air.”
#Blessed. Can you handle the wait until December 5? You better, you little bitch…
