Britney’s Iconic “…Baby One More Time” Gets A Kulkid Makeover

While Our Very Own Pop Princess-Now-Queen of Pop Britney Spears is busy marking her territory and dousing her hot bodeh in Circus Fantasy at the moment, there’s always time to get back (REFERENCE) and B In The Mix.

“…Baby One More Time,” one of the most iconic pop songs in the history of ever, has had its fair share of mixes, mashes and re-rubs over the past 15 years. Earlier this year, for instance, my good friend Belanger gave it a wicked early ’90’s House mash-up with My Digital Enemy that sent our beloved B-Girl spiraling into clubland.

To keep the song’s 15th B-Day celebration coming, Kulkid‘s just put his very own spin on the Spearitual classic. (You might also know him from his mix of Lana Del Rey‘s “Young & Beautiful,” or his excellent take on Sir Sly‘s “Ghost.”)

The lush mix takes the holy devotional and gives it a major disco makeover, complete with early ’90’s House piano chords, chopped ‘n screwed vocals and warm, nearly tropical washes of synthesized beats. Most importantly, the track takes the core essence of the track and repeats it endlessly: “Baybeh, baybeh, baybeh!

It’s cool, urban and funky — and best of all, it’s free.
