Britney Meets A Terminally Ill Fan And Writes A Letter To A Young Gay Fan, Is An Angel Sent From Heaven On Earth

There are entertainers, and then there are iconic pop deities — and The Holy Spearit sits comfortably in the latter category.

The thing about The Legendary Miss Britney Spears is that she is as sweet as cheesy grits are cheesy, which is why it’s no surprise to hear more and more accounts every day about her selflessness, from charity work to being a tireless LGBT warrior.

And of course, there are her fans.

28-year-old Texas Brit Brit fan Cory Moraw was born with an incurable condition called DiGeorge syndrome, and is now living with serious health issues, including diabetes and cirrhosis of the liver. Because of his declining condition, his family quickly set up a fundraiser to help raise funds for Cory’s biggest wish to come true: To see Britney.

From the fundraising page:

He likes Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Luke Bryan, and tons of other artists. But most of all, Cory loves Britney Spears. If ever there was a No. 1 Britney fan, it would hands-down HAVE to be Cory. When I first learned of Cory’s diagnosis, and the short amount of time they had given him to live, I initially wanted to throw him a giant, surprise dance party. Invite all the people he looks up to, & loves the most, play all his favorite music, and just dance! Unfortunately, Cory’s health is deteriorating much faster than we had hoped. He normally doesn’t feel like even coming out of his room, much less attending any parties. There is only one thing in this world that Cory would feel like doing, (in Janet’s words) “even on his deathbed”, and that would be to see Britney Spears LIVE.

And yes, that dream (within a dream) came true: Earlier this month, Team Britney flew Cory and his family out to Las Vegas first class, where he not only got to fulfill his dream of seeing Britney perform, but meet her as well.

From KLTV:

“She just hugged him and he was like, ‘Oh, Cory, thank you for letting me meet you.’ I was like, that is just so cool that she said it that way,” Russom said. Cory said Spears was the nicest and sweetest person. He’d made her a card and brought her Skittles, her favorite candy. “He’d written all over the outside of it and she was showing everybody and she was like, ‘look at this card he wrote me,’ and she opened it up and I thought she was going to start crying when she read it,” Russom explained.

It’s really too much to handle — and that’s not even all.

Last week, young B fan David LeCours also got the chance to meet Brit during her nightly meet and greets, where he gave her a letter explaining how much she’s helped him get through a dark period.

But it didn’t stop there: “As I was leaving the building where meet and greet was held, Britney’s body guard ran and stopped me and said Britney requested my address so she could respond because my letter meant so much to her,” he said on Instagram.

Cut to a week later, and this just happened:

“I was very happy to hear about how courageous you’ve been about being openly gay. I’ve always been told as long as you know in your heart that’s what matter most. I try to follow my heart and dreams every day of my life and I think that’s why I am where I am today,” she writes.

I feel like 15-year-old newly gay Bradley just heard the words I wanted to hear over a decade ago and I’m genuinely unable to cope.

Truly, Britney is a saint. Maybe she’s not even human, ’cause only an angel could be so unusual (REFERENCE).

No press releases. No attention-seeking stunts. Just gestures from the kindness of her heart. So when people try to criticize her for her vocals or attempt to shade her personal style, just remember: This is actually what matters most.

We love you, B.
