With all the powerhouse pop production that’s been pulsating through the airwaves lately, sometimes it’s nice to take a tune and strip it down to its purest melody–and that’s exactly what MuuMuse fave Neon Hitch just did with her latest single.
To promote “Gold,” which was co-crafted by Neon, Bruno Mars, Claude Kelly, Benny Blanco, The Smeezingtons, the gypsy-pop princess headed down to Central Park to perform a completely acoustic rendition, along with a few musically-inclined friends.
Watch below as Neon, accompanied by beatboxer Rahzel and string duo Black Violin, belts out a stunning take on “Gold,” jam session style. They even work up a bit of a crowd in the process! The performance really highlights the sugary-sweet tone, power and control of Neon’s voice. You hearing this? All natural!
Even without a lick of production, she still shines like go-o-o-o-o-old.
“Gold” was released on August 10. (iTunes)
