Get your mind out of the gutter — I’m talking about a cat.
Katy Perry‘s Prism campaign has been flawless thus far, including her golden 18-wheeler, the snatching — err, burning of the “California Gurls” wig and a funeral for the Teenage Dream era.
In the latest video teaser for “Roar” (“#ROAR”), Miss Perry’s pussycat comes wandering into a comfy living room to play with his feathery toy. But after some friendly nipping at the birdy, the kitty quickly turns the toy into an afternoon snack with a huge — wait for it — roar. Honestly, I never liked cats much anyway.
But most importantly, there’s the tease at the end: 4-ish seconds of “Roar”! It’s an arena-sized, fun.-like chant (“Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh!“), and it sounds absolutely massive and triumphant, just like a song called “Roar” should. (It also sort of reminds me of Natalia Kills‘ anthem “Saturday Night,” actually.)
Bring on August 12!
