Lady Gaga’s ‘Enigma’ Vegas Residency Already Sounds Very Fucking Cool, Actually

Did you know? Stefani Germanotta — Lady Gaga, Jo Calderone, Joanne, that Ra Ra Ra Bitch – is heading to Las Vegas at the very end of 2018.

Lady Gaga Residencies Tweet

On Tuesday (August 7), she revealed the name of the upcoming residency: Enigma. And, in true doing-the-most Dame Gagaloo form, she’s doing not one show, but two.

No, I’m not talking two dates: I mean entirely separate productions.

“Lady Gaga’s Las Vegas residency will feature two unique shows in the intimate venue. LADY GAGA ENIGMA is a brand-new odyssey of her pop hits built as an experience unlike any other while LADY GAGA JAZZ & PIANO will feature stripped-down versions of her hits as well as music from the Great American Songbook,” the press release proclaims.

Thus, The Monster Ball Tour Gaga and Cheek To Cheek Tour Gaga can thrive on their own.

Now, basic gays like myself nostalgically daydreaming about the simpler “Starstruck” days can put our fucking paws up during ENIGMA, while Tony Bennett enthusiasts and true lovers of jazz can delight in JAZZ & PIANO. A perfect idea, honestly.

“I can’t wait to share ENIGMA with all of my fans and with Las Vegas. We’re creating a show unlike anything I’ve done before. It will be a celebration of all that is unique and different within us. The challenges of bravery can be overcome with creativity and courage that is grown out of adversity, love and music,” says Gaga.

“Working with Lady Gaga and her team has been a career highlight for me. What she is planning for Las Vegas audiences is nothing short of spectacular. Welcoming her into our family will firmly position Park MGM as the city’s most exciting new destination,” adds MGM Resorts International President Bill Hornbuckle.

Another exciting thing? If you’re already following her on social media, you’ll already know that Gaga’s reunited with former Haus of Gaga creative director Nicola Formichetti on whatever’s coming next.

And judging by this thrillingly weird, neon nightmare Alien rave diva promotional photo, they’ve still got winning creative chemistry together. It kind of feels like Old Gaga™, but new!
